Engineer - Metrology

As an engineer in the Technology Solutions Group at Mitutoyo Research & Development America, Inc. (MRDA) you will have the opportunity to learn about metrology and inspection challenges companies around the world face and contribute to solving these problems. With us, mechanical engineering is not where it stops. You will be exposed to and learn system engineering, vision systems and sensors, measurement techniques, and more. You will have the opportunity to not only do mechanical design but also measurements of customer's parts, testing and debugging, software development, and more.  

You will perform a variety of tasks and take responsibility for:

  • Participating in discussions with customers to understand their technical requirements.

  • Establishing a system level understanding of the solutions proposed to customers.

  • Acting as a key contributor to the mechanical design.

  • Acting as a contributor in testing, writing and debugging software. 

  • Testing early prototypes, as well as final products.

  • Providing training and support to customers as needed.

  • Documenting design and testing material.

  • Participating or leading technical reviews.

Your responsibilities will expand and change based upon business needs, skills and interest.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The salary range is $70,000-$100,000 per year. The successful candidate’s salary will be determined based on job-related experience/knowledge/skills, education, and complexity and responsibility of the role. Benefits include 100% paid medical, dental, vision insurance (75% for dependents), 100% paid life and disability insurance, 6% matching 401k, 15 vacation days, 12 paid holidays, 10 paid sick days per year, and eligibility for performance based annual bonus.
